As a result of building a successful academy and fight team, it's been a while since Tony has competed on the circuit, however for this grand competition, Tony decided to ‘Don’ the gloves and compete.
Tony approached the challenge head on; he fought leading by example with skill, determination, and Warrior spirit. After a hard and extremely competitive tournament, Tony finished in third place.
European and grand champion, Rodney fought in his usual relaxed and confident manner, with his silky smooth movement and fast hand speed Rodney dominated his opponent from the start, unfortunately Rodney had to concede victory in the second round after sustaining an injury, but he thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.
This was Dean’s first Irish Open and as is expected on such a major tournament nerves are a plenty. Dean is constantly striving for perfection and continues to progress in what is a highly demanding and competitive sport. Dean threw himself into this tournament, both heart and soul, he fought with vigour and his distancing and timing were second to none. He finished this weekend in second place.
Liz thrives at these major events, her zest and enthusiasm is infectious. Liz always fights with pride and plenty of determination and warrior spirit. Liz displayed great punching and kicking combinations as she sets herself very high standards.
She had a great tournament and as always takes away plenty of positives and new experiences.
